Becoming a Digital Nomad?

What is a Digital Nomad?
Living the Digital Nomad Lifestyle means relying on the internet to financially sustain a modern nomadic life. This relatively new trend allows you to become location independent and constantly move between cities as countries while working remotely.

This type of lifestyle has definitely crossed my mind more than once and was one of the very reasons why I decided to leave my 9-5 office job. The thought of travel excites me and so does my job, so why not combine the two?

I was recently in Asia for 2.5 weeks and I was still working while I was away. It gave me a taste of what it felt like to travel + work (like a digital nomad), and to be totally honest it was hard. Not only because I was traveling with my best friend but also at times having to stay in and not go out and have fun all day. However, the hardest part was the time difference. My clients at the moment are all based in North America. I had to be online at a certain time to tend to my clients and not have them feel neglected and for me to be 100% present when they needed me. You never want your client to feel overlooked and use your travel as a clutch in their mind of why you’re not reachable, etc. That is one way to loose a client.

The best thing about having a job where you can do everything digitally is being able to travel and work anywhere in the world! Although there are certain destinations that people have said that are better than others to set up camp. I have listed a few cities below that have been rated as the top digital nomad destinations as well as some links I found helpful.
